David J. Rothman is the author of Living the Life: Tales from America’s Mountains and Ski Towns. His sports writing has appeared in Powder, Couloir, WildSnow, Snow Country, Telluride Magazine, Crested Butte Magazine, Sports Guide, and many other publications. He lives in Salt Lake City and still skis hard, but needs a new hip.
