Cool Event Alert: Alaska Range Traverses

This is simply a heads up for those who have an interest in the Alaska Range, and, in particular, Alaska Range traverses. 

This evening, the Anchorage Museum is hosting an in-person and live-streamed event as part of their Outdoor Adventure Series, titled “Alaska Rangers.” 

Here’s what the museum has to say about the event. “Join us for an evening with Roman Dial and a group of adventurers who have traversed the rugged Alaska Range end to end. Guests include Livin Adkins, Kevin Armstrong, Dusty Eroh, Sam Hooper, Jennifer Johnston, Todd Tumolo, and Doug Woody.” 

What we expect from this event, given the multi-disciplinary gear needed to traverse such diverse terrain, is a masterclass (in the storytelling sense) in utilizing the gear and moxie to pull off something like an Alaska Range traverse. We’re looking forward to it. 

If you are in Anchorage, you can head over to the museum this evening—you’ll need to secure a ticket. The show begins at 6 p.m. Alaska time. For those with time-zone challenges, that’s 7 p.m. on the West Coast, and an hour later moving a timezone east. That’ll be 9 p.m. for those who regularly tour in the Presidential Range.
