Spending time on the Atomic Bent 120 over the past month or so has me appreciating the playful, easygoing nature of a medium-stiffness, medium-radius, rockered twin tip. After some years of chasing excellent firm snow and steep skiing performance, the pendulum swings back, and I’ve been craving something like the Bent in a more “daily driver” dimension. …
First Look: Blizzard Canvas 108

Blizzard keeps its promise to build something rockered and lose: the New Canvas 108, coming soon to a freerider near you.

These skis are a testament to the success of the Bent series. I’ve enjoyed the Bent 110, I’ll have to try these. What is the mount point? Is it as centered as the Bent 110?

Oops, missed that in the specs. I believe it’s -6cm. The Bents are -3cm if I remember correctly. It seems like many folks like the bent at -5 or so anyways.
Certainly agree that this is a testament to the success of the bents, it sounds like the athletes at Blizzard similarly insisted on a more playful line of skis- à la bents. I’ve spent a bunch of days on them now up at Roger’s pass and they strike a wonderful balance of easygoing while being super fun to ski more aggressively

Has anybody there skied the whitewalker 108s? I’d be interested in a comparison of these two. Thinking of building a powder rig with one of them.

I haven’t skied the Whitewalker 108, but I just skimmed a review on newschoolers. I could surmise that the Canvas will be much more versatile and, to quote the Newschoolers reviewer, energetic.
I’m thinking of the Canvas as a do it all sort of ski, where the Whitewalker seems like it would excel as a loose, surfy powder ski, but perhaps be a little odd in other conditions. The Whitewalker is certainly a unique ski.

Cheers, thanks. I also read that review, which i thought was pretty well done. … Was also thinking the Canvas might be a bit more versatile, appreciate the feedback
