Subscribe to The High Route 

By subscribing to The High Route, you’ll support independent backcountry ski and splitboard journalism. You’ll find human-powered backcountry-specific coverage in The High Route and a bit of the resort-uphill scene. Your subscription also helps support our podcasts and our growing catalog of articles. (We published ~250 pieces last season.)

This year, we are expanding our offerings. The website remains, and we will continue to populate it with solid information and stories.   

For winter ’24-’25, we are introducing a single mid-winter issue of The High Route magazine—a worthy print supplement featuring journalism, essays, criticism, and photography, all harnessing the energy and spirit of moving through the hills and making turns. We are excited to launch this project.

Website Only Subscription Information

We still offer an annual ($27/year) or monthly ($6/month) website subscription that provides full access to our stories, reviews, podcasts, and digital archives. If you subscribe to the website and want to purchase the print magazine at any time, go to your account, click subscriptions, and you’ll see an option to purchase Issue 1.0 for $18.

We have two options for those new to The High Route who are interested in supporting our print initiative. You can purchase The High Route bundle, which includes Issue 1.0 of the magazine and a year’s access to the website for $45.

Print Only

You can also purchase Issue 1.0 of The High Route magazine (no website access) for $30. If you want to gift Issue 1.0 of The High Route magazine, populate the shipping fields with the recipient’s address.
